Every outage is a record with a start, an end and a cause. The history is drawn so a power cut and a fibre cut look different, and the issue list leaves as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
Every outage is a record
When an outage is confirmed, HansaNet opens a record for the device: when it dropped, what was held back beneath it, who was paged and when they answered. When the device answers again the record closes with the duration. The cause is typed in by whoever resolved it, and an outage will not close without one, so the history is a list of what happened and not of what software guessed.
The history on Home
The home page carries the whole plant as one row per device, time running across, red where the device was down. Devices are listed in the order they feed each other, so when several drop in the same minute the red bars line up. Hover a moment and a hairline crosses every row at that instant, which is how you compare two devices at one time.
Every bar opens the map at that moment. Downtime counts a device's own outages only. Time it sat dark because a parent was down is not charged to it.
Replay the map
The map can be parked at any moment in the last 90 days and shows the plant as it was then: which devices were dark, which PONs had gone quiet, which subscribers were affected. Home and the map tell one story, so there is one answer to "when did that box drop".
The issue list, and its exports
The issues page is one row per problem: a dark port, a dark ONU, a PON that went dark, a probe that stopped reporting, a dead camera. A switch with four dark ports is one device and four jobs. The number on a home tile and the length of the list behind it always agree.
The list leaves two ways, both open to workers as well as owners and both limited to your organisation:
- PDF, ready to print or send, with the MAC address never cut off.
- Excel, a real .xlsx workbook with a filter row and a real date column, so sorting by "since" sorts by time.
Times in both match the times on the screen and in the WhatsApp messages.
How long history is kept
Per-ONU history is kept for 30 days. Per-device history is kept for two years. The map replays the last 90 days.
What it does not do
- It does not produce an SLA report per enterprise customer, or a monthly PDF on a schedule. The uptime figure for the last 30 days is on the dashboard, and the exports are of the issue list.
- It does not work out a root cause for you. The cause is what your resolver typed.
- Per-ONU history older than 30 days is gone.
