Open the web page of an OLT, switch or NVR from your dashboard, wherever you are. Nothing on your network needs a public IP, a forwarded port or a VPN.
What you get
Press open on a device and its own web UI comes up in your browser, the same pages you would see standing at the rack. You pick the port when you open it. Nothing on your network is put on the internet, and the probe in your rack still accepts nothing from outside.
Sessions
A session is one device, opened by an owner. Opening a second device on the same probe closes the first. It stays open while you use it and ends once you leave it alone. From the field app the device opens in the phone's own browser. Your rights are checked on every page, so an account that loses owner rights loses the session with it.
Audited, and one device only
Every page a person opens this way is recorded, session by session, so you can see who went into which box and when. A session reaches the one device it was opened on and nothing else on your network.
There is no separate charge for it. A monitored device is Rs 100 a month minimum, whatever you open on it. See pricing.
What it does not do
- It is switched on for your org by us, and only owner accounts can open a session. Workers cannot.
- Some web UIs do not render through it. NVR web UIs are the known case, and we attempt no cosmetic fix. Use the NVR's camera roster instead.
- A vendor UI we have not met yet may need a short change on our side first. VSOL and C-Data are done.
- The first page of a fresh session takes a moment to come up.
- It carries web pages on the one device the session names. It is not a VPN and reaches nothing else on the LAN.
- A form you submit that dies on the way is not sent again for you. Check the device and submit it again yourself.
- One device per probe at a time.
